Privacy notice
This notice explains what information Aramids Autos collects about you, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Last updated: 7 November 2026
Who we are
Aramids Autos is a trading name of Tokunboh Balogun, who is responsible for your information (the “data controller”). You can contact us about anything in this notice by email at hello@aramidisauto.com or by phone on 07848 901203.
Our address is 31 Westwood Hill, Sydenham, London SE26 6NU.
What we collect
When you get in touch or ask for a quote, we collect:
- your name, phone number and email address
- the car you're looking for, your budget and any other details you choose to share
- our messages with you, by WhatsApp, phone or email
If you become a customer, we also keep:
- your address, for delivery and vehicle paperwork
- records of payments, invoices and the vehicles we've bought for you
- any details needed for registration, insurance or export, such as V5 logbook information
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote. You've asked us to, so we use your details to take steps before a contract.
- To find, buy, repair and deliver your car. This is needed to carry out our agreement with you.
- To keep tax and accounting records. The law requires us to.
- To follow up on an enquiry or offer after-sales help. This is in our legitimate interests as a business, and you can ask us to stop at any time.
We don't sell your information, and we don't send marketing without your permission.
Who we share it with
We only share what each party needs to do their part:
- car auctions, when we register and bid on your behalf
- repair garages, parts suppliers and inspection services
- transport, recovery and delivery companies
- the DVLA, insurers, and shipping and customs agents for exports
- our accountant, and HMRC where the law requires it
We also use everyday services to run the business. These include WhatsApp (Meta), our email provider (IONOS), Resend, which delivers messages sent through our website form, and our website host (Vercel). Some of these companies may store information outside the UK, under safeguards that UK data protection law accepts.
If your car is being exported, your details will be shared with the shipping and clearing agents in the destination country so the car can be delivered.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't go ahead: deleted after 12 months.
- Customer records: kept for 6 years after the end of the tax year of your purchase, as tax law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the information we hold about you
- correct anything that's wrong
- delete your information, unless we have to keep it by law
- stop or limit how we use it, or object to us using it
- give your information to you or another business in a usable format
Contact us using the details above. We'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Cookies and this website
This website doesn't use tracking or advertising cookies. It saves one setting in your browser, whether you chose light or dark mode, so the site remembers it next time. Our host, Vercel, keeps short-term technical logs, including IP addresses, to keep the site running securely.
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are popular. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't identify you or follow you across other websites.
When you send a quote request through the website, it's emailed to us and a copy is emailed to you. The website itself doesn't keep a copy.
Contact us if you have any questions about this notice.
